Food By Wild Wood Fire is a local Bay of Plenty business, established in 2016 from a family dream of creating unique and delectable catering options. 2020 brings new beginnings with new ownership and great ideas to expand this wonderful catering experience. We specialise in providing a range of meal options at competitive prices for all events big and small. We are renowned for making wood fired pizzas, slow roasted meats, gourmet home made salads and grazing platters. We have the flexibility to travel large distances and even get to those rough terrain spots.

 

Jed Newitt has known the previous owner with family friendships working through events before taking over the business, his fellow co-owner Tara Calnitsky is from Canada and brings fresh ideas to the plate. She has been surrounded by amazing food and travel with her family also owning several well renowned restaurants in Canada. Jed has worked several years as a dive instructor and sous chef on a variety of small and large yachts around the world. Food By Wild Wood Fire has given them the opportunity to bring their passions home and create memorable catering experiences.

 

Jed has fantastic and professional staff who have worked alongside him since taking over the business. Tom Suess and Adi Birley both have long standing backgrounds in hospitality, perfecting the art of making flawless pizza! Jed and Tara have amazing family support who are all passionate about delicious gourmet food.
